Instructional Analysis I developed this instructional analysis for my ISD 621 course, Instructional Design. It is the foundation for a workbook on grammar and composition that I designed. I am currently working to expand upon the topics covered in my workbook and creating an electronic version of the grammar module using Moodle.

Program Evaluation Findings

For my IDE 660 course, Program Evaluation, I evaluated the University of South Alabama's student group for instructional design students. Some of my findings are represented using graphs and charts.

Instructional Design Model In my ISD 652 course, Technology-Based Instruction, I was asked to develop my personal instructional design model, one that is both prescriptive and descriptive. I based this model on my philosophy of instruction design, a belief that revision is a necessary and welcome part of design, with the goal of culling all that is unfruitful or otherwise a hindrance to learning.

Formative Evaluation Plan

I developed this formative evaluation plan as part of my
goal of assessing the validity and reliability of my grammar workbook. I believe that revision is an ongoing process, necessary to produce educational products of the highest quality, those that will most significantly impact student achievement.

Web 2.0 Podcast This was one of the first educational websites that I developed. It consists of a podcast about three emerging
Web 2.0 technologies and how they can be used to facilitate teaching and learning.

IDD Theorists Website This website was designed as a group project for ISD 652, Advanced Hypermedia Tools. My partner Dawn Wright and I worked for three months to create a site focusing on the theories and theorists who helped shape instructional design. Much of the layout of the site is Dawn's work, while I created the graphics, animation, quiz, and some of the content. I enjoyed this project thoroughly, and I know that the information I learned about IDD will be useful for me as an instructional design practitioner.
